31/52

"Cheeky princess"  joselyn is starting to demand her own style, at the moment we have been wearing our princess crown where ever we can, she is surprisingly shy when anyone mentions it.  I loved how she let me put her hair in two buns for dancing this week she looked so grown up.

"Bruised"  Henry has been in the wars, three knocks to the head in the same spot has left a mighty find bump on his head with a very colourful bruise to match, it looks really bad, I feel that we are getting a lot of attention in the shops because of it.  I'm not particularly sure why he has ended up with so many bumps so young, I don't feel that he is any more adventurous than his sister and I don't feel my parenting style is any different with him, although maybe it should be as there seem to be a lot more obstacles when there are two children.  Glue, buttons, glitter and marbles were not really around when Joselyn was this age.

"Jumping Around"  We are getting a lot of "Mum watch this" at the moment, I'm sure its just a phase but I do question if it is an attention seeking method as her brother can be very dominating at the moment.  She just loves it when I jump with her there are belly laughs galore!

"Seated Swing"  Henry has been working on how to sit, he hasn't quiet got the seat yet but he is pretty impressed with himself when he lands on the plastic, holding on ready for his swing.

I'm away visiting family so I haven't had a chance to download from the computer, so iPhone photos it is...

"Grownup" this photos I captured of Joselyn last week might just be my most favorite photo of her, that's the smile that I have trouble capturing through the "cheese" I'm glad I finally captured it even if it was on the iPhone.

"Snap" this week we discovered snapchat the kids have had a ball and so have I, it's been funny looking at all the different faces we could make.

"Car Wash" Not much to choose from this week I didn't get the camera out very much at all. I almost had to pull from my iPhone photos which is not what I wanted this blog to be about at all.

I've decided to take inspiration from Jodie's photos this week and provide this collection showing a story from a Sunday afternoon car wash. I had trouble picking just one

Henry was running between me and the car washing activity always checking in, I love that when he walks now its always with purpose and always on a mission to do something, he is just like his mum fleeting between activities not wanting to miss out on anything.

I love this smile joselyn gets when she is doing something she enjoys, her whole faces smiles. She has been loving helping this week, mopping, car washing & dinner making. She was chasing daddy with the wet sponge throwing. It was not the best activity to play with water outside in the cool winter air when we all have colds but they all had fun and thats the point.

I'll have to make more of an effort this week to get the camera out again!

"Four-teen"  my baby is long gone this little girl has replaced her, but its almost like she isn't a little girl but a girl, I walked past her bedroom and saw this I swear it was a glimpse into my future... who knows they might not have headphones in ten years or iPods for that matter but she is really growing so fast.

"Wrong way around" I was memorised by his shadow on the wall, I was trying to capture it as best I could his eyelashes were so clear along with his lips, nose and chin...  Those photos are on the cutting room floor because I couldn't go past this cheeky one trying so hard to work out this bike business, he knows he has to get a leg over but he always seems to be facing the wrong way - he doesn't seem phased its all part of the process.

Sparkles - Joselyn got some glitter for her birthday, I put off playing with it as long as I could (bad mummy) but the time eventually came, there was glitter everywhere, I'm actually still finding it in places I don't really want it.  Oh what fun she had making a beautiful sparkling creation that she then decided was for Nanny June's birthday tomorrow, no matter how many times I told her it wasn't until next month I was wrong it is tomorrow.

Water Boy - this guy and water are like a magnetic force, every time I turn around he has found something with water.  The bathroom, the dog bowl, a water bottle and this cheeky grin goes along with it, a look of I know you're not going to like this mum but I'm going to do it anyway!!

I made it half way, yay me!

O N E

I remember the feeling a year ago, I was so nervous. I was nervous about what the impending arrival would do to our family dynamics, I was worried about the birth, I was worried how I was going to handle two children, I was worried about Joselyn, having a year off work and how I was going to find time for my husband and myself.

I love this feeling of reflection... Why was I so worried, why was I so anxious?

Henry is one tomorrow, and while the transition has had its twists and turns the good has by far out weighed the bad.  We have this cheeky, cuddly, curious, comedian who makes our family feel complete.

I am trying to work on my worry, everything will be okay just let it fall into place naturally!

Happy Birthday Henry, well done family we did it!
