"Freckles" she wanted me to take a photo of her lipgloss, but I just can not go past the sprinkling of freckles on her nose, I loved her near perfect skin and was worried that the appearance of the freckles were due to my recklessness on sun safety but then at the same time they are cute and add so much character.

"Big Boy" he has decided that he is no longer required to sit in the high chair and climbs into J's seat as he pleases, he has been putting up fights to go in the highchair and will sometimes refuse to bend his legs.  He is a big boy now and this photo really shows him as a boy, no longer my baby.

"Chocolate smiles" the afternoon sun is best in Joselyn's room (in winter, in summer we will avoid it like the plague) and you'll often find the three of us sitting on her bed soaking up the last of the sun before the dinner, bath, bed ritual begins.  I'm not at all sure what we had for afternoon tea (obviously something chocolate) or which particular day last week this was taken as the week has been a blur of head colds and sleepless nights but I do know that we were reading the wiggles book playing with one of those snap bangles and it was funny. So funny that I had too many smiling faces to choose between but I felt this one was the best one of all.

"Knock Knock" someone has discovered the cubby house and more importantly the door, he climbs the stairs and goes straight for the doorbell and then opens and closes the door saying what sounds like "Hello" upon his reappearance from inside, he opens the windows pulls back the curtains and waves.  It is all very cute once he is up there but the climb of the stairs gives me heart palpitations.

"swimming" we've started back at swimming and this is the perfect time to try out our new favourite hair do "two buns", I think she looks particularly grown up with her hair this way and she thinks her new swimmers are awesome.

"Cheek" this little smile is indicating that he is about to get up to some mischief what I'm not entirely sure but I get this look constantly during the day.

"Winter Beach daze" it was a quick dash to the beach for morning tea but it was enjoyed by all, this so called winter has been the best yet!

"Rockstar" someone doesn't do mornings very well especially cold mornings, she likes the sun to warm her up but isn't a fan of the "bright lights" so we have come to a solution, sunglasses over breakfast.... she is my little rockstar.

"Profile" his little nose and those lips, I just can not get enough of this gorgeous boy!

Photos are a bit lacking for this week as we have been unwell and I'm playing catch up with what I have.

"Cheeky princess"  joselyn is starting to demand her own style, at the moment we have been wearing our princess crown where ever we can, she is surprisingly shy when anyone mentions it.  I loved how she let me put her hair in two buns for dancing this week she looked so grown up.

"Bruised"  Henry has been in the wars, three knocks to the head in the same spot has left a mighty find bump on his head with a very colourful bruise to match, it looks really bad, I feel that we are getting a lot of attention in the shops because of it.  I'm not particularly sure why he has ended up with so many bumps so young, I don't feel that he is any more adventurous than his sister and I don't feel my parenting style is any different with him, although maybe it should be as there seem to be a lot more obstacles when there are two children.  Glue, buttons, glitter and marbles were not really around when Joselyn was this age.

"Jumping Around"  We are getting a lot of "Mum watch this" at the moment, I'm sure its just a phase but I do question if it is an attention seeking method as her brother can be very dominating at the moment.  She just loves it when I jump with her there are belly laughs galore!

"Seated Swing"  Henry has been working on how to sit, he hasn't quiet got the seat yet but he is pretty impressed with himself when he lands on the plastic, holding on ready for his swing.

I'm away visiting family so I haven't had a chance to download from the computer, so iPhone photos it is...

"Grownup" this photos I captured of Joselyn last week might just be my most favorite photo of her, that's the smile that I have trouble capturing through the "cheese" I'm glad I finally captured it even if it was on the iPhone.

"Snap" this week we discovered snapchat the kids have had a ball and so have I, it's been funny looking at all the different faces we could make.

"Car Wash" Not much to choose from this week I didn't get the camera out very much at all. I almost had to pull from my iPhone photos which is not what I wanted this blog to be about at all.

I've decided to take inspiration from Jodie's photos this week and provide this collection showing a story from a Sunday afternoon car wash. I had trouble picking just one

Henry was running between me and the car washing activity always checking in, I love that when he walks now its always with purpose and always on a mission to do something, he is just like his mum fleeting between activities not wanting to miss out on anything.

I love this smile joselyn gets when she is doing something she enjoys, her whole faces smiles. She has been loving helping this week, mopping, car washing & dinner making. She was chasing daddy with the wet sponge throwing. It was not the best activity to play with water outside in the cool winter air when we all have colds but they all had fun and thats the point.

I'll have to make more of an effort this week to get the camera out again!

"Four-teen"  my baby is long gone this little girl has replaced her, but its almost like she isn't a little girl but a girl, I walked past her bedroom and saw this I swear it was a glimpse into my future... who knows they might not have headphones in ten years or iPods for that matter but she is really growing so fast.

"Wrong way around" I was memorised by his shadow on the wall, I was trying to capture it as best I could his eyelashes were so clear along with his lips, nose and chin...  Those photos are on the cutting room floor because I couldn't go past this cheeky one trying so hard to work out this bike business, he knows he has to get a leg over but he always seems to be facing the wrong way - he doesn't seem phased its all part of the process.

Sparkles - Joselyn got some glitter for her birthday, I put off playing with it as long as I could (bad mummy) but the time eventually came, there was glitter everywhere, I'm actually still finding it in places I don't really want it.  Oh what fun she had making a beautiful sparkling creation that she then decided was for Nanny June's birthday tomorrow, no matter how many times I told her it wasn't until next month I was wrong it is tomorrow.

Water Boy - this guy and water are like a magnetic force, every time I turn around he has found something with water.  The bathroom, the dog bowl, a water bottle and this cheeky grin goes along with it, a look of I know you're not going to like this mum but I'm going to do it anyway!!

I made it half way, yay me!

"Skater Girl" First visit to a skate park while on holidays, the weather wasn't awesome so we headed out to the skate park across the road.  Joselyn was so excited to ride fast over the ramps and blew Adam and I away with her ability, she was better than we had expected... I'm not sure what it is about this photo, I think its the light and her messy bun but either way Joselyn and I picked it for this week.

"Sticky Beak"  Henry enjoyed the visit to the skate park too he had his first ride on the scooter assisted by Daddy.  Here he was minding the scooter while Adam and Joselyn explored, he was checking out something that was going on behind me in the carpark, I couldn't capture his attention.  He looked super cute in his outfit & enjoyed his morning at the skate park.

"Spag Bol night" & "You've got something on your nose"  I can feel the warmth in these photos, it was a cold day one of the first we've had and we had trackies and slippers on and we ate spaghetti for dinner to warm our bellies.  Things happened to get a little crazy.  It was just the three of us we were in fits of laughter and these photos capture the "crazy" just perfectly.

"Tiny Dancer" we had a dance trial this week to see if we liked it.  She was so excited getting ready she was twirling around so fast that she fell over and laughed.  It was such a milestone a whole hour dance lesson I had to wait outside and could only see through a small gap in the window.  She did some classical, jazz, singing and Tap.  I can not believe how grown up she is becoming, as we left she said that you to the teacher and that "she will come back tomorrow".

"Eleven Months"  we have almost made it, one year of Henry is only a month away.  Last week he started walking. He is such a cheeky little guy, such a welcome member to our little tribe!

"Sunny Skies and Sprinkles" I don't know what it is about this photo of Joselyn maybe its the memory attached but we have been housebound most of the week due to illness so went to the park for a play after we went and got sprinkle buns and sat on our blanket right near the grass hill.  Joselyn wanted to do sprints up the top of the hill bun in hand she ran to the top and twirled around and around.

"Bath Time Boogie" The nights and afternoons are getting cooler and because everyone has had a runny nose I've been doing early baths.  Henry loves the bath especially when he gets to share it with Joselyn.  I feel like a broken record playing a combination "on your bottom", "sit down please",  and "Jossie had that first" but look at that smile.

I was a bit early last week with the half way call, not sure what I was thinking still another 4 to go before I've made it half way!

"Big Girl Baby" Joselyn's continual request to play the game of being a baby is a reminder that she is still adjusting to having a baby brother.  Its no surprise that the game comes up especially when Henry is having a clingy day. It is tedious and painful game that takes all my strength to play, it leaves me with feelings of guilt and frustration but it is her way of communicating with me that although she is almost four she still needs mummy too.

"Shadow"  I love that the mornings are getting cooler, it means that its time to open the windows and play in the morning light!  I love our house and the winter sun that comes flooding in the back windows.

I made it half way, hopefully I can continue to show up for the remainder of the challenge.

"Bow Ties"  Joselyn's cupboard has been constantly open this week and clothes have continually been draped over the floor, it seems she has discovered clothes or rather that she can choose her own clothes... It has been a bit of a struggle for me as I have pretty much had a little doll for almost 4 years and got to dress her in stylish little outfits.  I am trying to embrace this new found independence but I will admit it is tough not to chime in with an opinion or two... On the flip side she does have a funky sense of style, and has already started raiding her Brother's wardrobe.

"Teeth" there they are, look at them all!  He is such a happy boy at times.  As I type this he is climbing up my leg, he does make me laugh.  He is already displaying a temper if things don't go his way and the cheeky grin that goes with it tells me he isn't going to be an easy ride!

Almost half way pretty impressed with my progress thus far.

"Driving me Crazy" I couldn't decide between two photos for J this week, this one where you can see the joy jumping out of the screen as she races to the finish line at movie world on the taxi ride that she loves so much or the second where you could see the rage in her eyes as she yelled "no more photos mummy" at me.  These highs and lows have been a common feature this week, tears one minute and fits of laughter the next.  It's not all roses but its not all bad either, tears usually end in a big Mummy cuddle!

"Two Hands"  This guy has got braver this week he has been standing without holding on to things, I can feel those first steps looming.  He's still very clingy and wants to be near me if he hears or sees me, but he is very cheeky and very cute. He has been following his sister around the house and trying to join her games.  He loves any attention and loves to be where all the action is, this is where he is completely different to Joselyn.  The swing is where he is exactly like Joselyn, he'd sit all day in the swing if we let him.

Similar theme in this week's photos they are both looking left... just picked up on that.

"TuTu Cute" this month J has rediscovered the tutu that Santa brought her for Christmas two years ago, I'm not sure if its because we went to see the Ballet just after Easter last month or if she likes it because she can put it on herself, either way these days every time I turn around she is either naked or in this tutu again. She makes my heart smile!

"Street Rat"  this was Henry's first play on a bike out in the street, I can see myself spending many afternoons sitting on our driveway watching the kids ride up and down our quiet little street.  I love where we live!

"Happy Lil Vegemite" Happy Henry is back this week, his smile is infectious.  He is a cheeky little thing so different to his sister but yet similar.  He's into everything and very destructive.  He's inquisitive and curious and got a personality that lets him get away with it.

"Sleeping Beauty" We've had a big week and while preparing dinner one day I thought things were a little too quiet in the living room and discovered that Miss J had fallen fast asleep watching a movie.  I love watching her sleep, her lips, her eyelashes and those bruises and scrapes on her arms and legs.  She is perfection, well to me anyway!
